illiterate

Today at work, because I am illiterate, I accidentally dissolved my sample in TLC stain (possibly) stored in a CDCl3 bottle instead of deuterated chloroform.

English version:  Today at work, because I am illiterate, I accidentally dissolved my sample in a mislabled bottle that used to contain what I actually wanted.

lessons learned:
1)  Label properly.  This means that in addition to affixing a label that is legible to a literate person, also obliterate the old label.

2)  I am illiterate, and feel stupid.
